Since September 17, 2020 the first students are back in school!
The lockdown in Uganda still continues but the “candidates” (these are the students* in the graduating classes) can now attend classes in school again. The final exams have been postponed and will take place early next year.
We are very happy that there are first political decisions for a partial opening of the school system.
To ensure that the standardized Covid-19 guidelines are followed the Ministry of Health is leading the process of enabling students to have personal classes with their teachers again.
The Ministry of Education wants to provide additional teaching materials for all students who still have to stay at home.
